This freezer comes with a front lock and warning lights as standard equipment. This unit can achieve -30 C (-22°F), and it has a unique insulation system that saves energy. As with all SUMMIT Appliances, these freezers are 100% CFC free (R-404).

SUMMIT ACCUCOLDtm VT series freezers with the "IB" (ice-bank) suffix are unique low-temperature freezers with two ice-banks of non-toxic 'blue' ice to provide a stable temperature environment for laboratory, scientific and certain foodservice customers. Electronic controls, an external thermometer and an audible alarm are standard, as is a lock. No interior lighting is provided. Manual defrosting. VT "IB" freezers also provide some protection against power outages, as they will protect the contents against thawing for many hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
